1. Version Changes
------------------
Changes in version 2.1 beta 4
  -----------------------------
  * Rewrote the help file.
  * Fixed a small memory leak in QuickMail.
  * Added dropdown list in QuickMail with last 10 email addresses.
  * Fixed sizable windows to display properly when the display is
    set to use large fonts.
  * Various minor asthetic changes.

Changes in version 2.1 beta 3
  -----------------------------
  * Header View, Peek Message and QuickMail windows are now resizable.
Window positions (and columns in Header View) are retained.
  * If Lydia can not load extended RAS support, it will run without the
support rather than exit. (This is for NT)
  * Fixed a bug that would not write the selected DUN to the INI file
if there was only one account on the computer.
  * Lydia will display the Setup window if it has not previously been
    configured.

Changes in version 2.1 beta 2
  -----------------------------
  * Fixed a bug that would attempt to connect to server three with
    account setting of server two
  * Changed code that would misreport Windows NT version.

Changes in version 2.1 beta 1
  -----------------------------
  * Fixed a bug that would not return a phone number from a Dial-Up
    Networking entry.
  * Included RNAPH.DLL which provides extended RAS support for
    Windows 95 release A.

New Features in version 2.0
---------------------------
Lydia Version 2.0 has many new features. These include:

  * Only check for mail while you are online.
  * If you are offline Lydia can connect, check for mail and disconnect.
  * Double clicking on a message header to view the message.
  * Improved message viewing. (Those obscure headers are replaced
    with readable information)
  * Some bug fixes.

2. Why it can't load Extended RAS Support (NT Users)
----------------------------------------------------
When Lydia starts it checks to see if the current operating
system supports the extended RAS functions that is uses to
connect to the Internet. If it can't find them (such as with
NT, which handles RAS differently than Windows 95) it will
disable this feature. Lydia will still work, but the program
may not be able to automatically connect to the Internet.
In such a case simply choose 'Check only while online' under
  Setup.

If you receive an error that it can't find RASAPI32.DLL and the
program exits then you need to ensure that you have Dial-Up
  Networking installed.

3. If You Are Upgrading
-----------------------
If you are upgrading from version 1.2 or prior there are several
new options. Please run Setup and set these new options before
using Lydia. The help file describes the various options.

4. Note to AOL Users
--------------------
Lydia makes use of Windows 95's Dial-Up Networking to check
if you are connected to the internet. If you are using AOL's
software to connect to the internet Lydia's "dialup, check and
  disconnect" feature may not work.

Lydia may also not be able to determine if you are online when
checking for new mail. To over come this do the
  following:

  1. Under the Connections tab in Setup select 'Connect via LAN
     or other direct connection'.

  2. Under the Mail tab in Setup place an X in 'supress error
     messages'.

5. Peek Line Problem
--------------------
Some POP3 mail servers do not follow the internet standard
for retrieving portions of messages. These servers count the
lines of the message header as part of the message. If you
notice that the number of lines seen when you peek at a
message is consistantly short of the number of lines you have
specified under the Mail tab in Setup then your Mail Server
may be one of these. There is no way to get around this other
than convincing your ISP to change Mail Server software. A
suggestion would be to increase the number of lines to peek
at by 15. (This is the average number of lines in a message
  header)
